Are you a private chef?
We're building a directory of UK private chefs we've actually spoken to. If you cook privately, whether full time, alongside a restaurant job or as your next step, we'd like to hear from you.
Most directories let anyone pay to appear. We'd rather have a short list of chefs we can stand behind. That means a conversation, a look at your cooking, and a profile we build with you rather than for you.
There are no listings to buy and no monthly fee while we build the directory. People who like your profile contact you directly, and what happens next is between you and them.
A note on honesty
We're new. We won't promise you a number of bookings a month, because we don't know yet. We'll be straight with you about how many people are using the directory and whether your area has demand.
What you get
Clients contact you directly
People find you through the directory and get in touch with you directly, by phone, email or your website. You choose which of these to show, and nobody sits in the middle taking a cut.
A profile you control
Your page shows your cooking, your areas and your menus, and nothing goes live until you've approved it. No stock photographs, no invented reviews.
Reviews from real bookings
Clients can review you from your profile, and we ask you to confirm the booking before a review goes live. Honest stars help the next client choose you.
Know what's working
We count how many people view your profile and reveal your contact details. Ask us and we'll share your numbers.
Built by someone who's cooked
Our co-founder is a professional chef and restaurateur. He knows what a Saturday night costs, and what a directory usually gets wrong.
No charge to be listed
Joining the directory is free while we build it. If that ever changes, we'll tell you in writing before anything is charged.
What we ask for
- A short honest summary of your experience and training.
- Menus or dishes you'd cook in someone's home.
- The areas you cover, and how far you're willing to travel.
- An idea of how you price, so you show up when people filter by budget.
- Which contact details you're happy for clients to see: phone, email or website.
Anything you send stays private until you approve your profile: only the Private Chef Finder team can see it, and we only show the contact details you say yes to. See our privacy policy for the detail.
